Graceful Glass Class

Last week I held a card class using the Graceful Glass suite of products. It was a small group but the products in this suite really WOWed them, as they did me when I first saw and used them at On Stage in April this year.StainedGlassCardsStampin'Up!AnnetteMcMillan12072018 The above cards use the Painted Glass Stamp set and the coordinating Stained Glass DiesStainedglass3Stampin'Up!AnnetteMcMillan12072018 StainedGlassStampin'Up!AnnetteMcMillan12072018

Thank You Cards – Death of A Special Friend

A very dear friend recently passed away after a brave battle with cancer.  She was a treasured member of my cardmaking group of friends and we offered to make thank-you cards for her family.  These are the cards we made.  They were a combined effort by a number of ladies and I think they are very pretty.  I hope her family like them. I’m sure Phillipa would have.  She loved pretty things and was very fond of butterflies.ThanksamillionCard3StampinUpAnnetteMcMillan08072018The above card used an old Stampin’ Up! Stamp set.  We sponged Blushing Bride on the card and silver embossed the butterfly and the greeting.  Isn’t it a beautiful greeting?  We made another version using Mint Macaroon.ThanksCardStampinUpAnnetteMcMillan08072018The above card uses the new stamp set Painted Glass.  Phillipa’s favourite colour was Turquoise, so I think she would have liked this one too.

Christmas In July

I often hold a Christmas in July Event which gives my ladies a chance to get a head start on making Christmas Cards.  This year we will be using a set of Memories and More cards which are made for scrapbooking but lend themselves to card making very well indeed.  This card kit, called Merry Little Christmas, was released last year so is no longer available but as you can see, it is great for Christmas cards.  These kits contain lots of double sided cards in 2 sizes, stickers and printed acetate cards.  Many of the cards also have titles which can be used as greetings, so there is little need for stamping, which means the cards come together very quickly.ChristmasCardStampinUpAnnetteMcMillan12052018The event will be held on Saturday 21 July.  If you are interested in finding out more, click on the Contact Me button at the top of this page.

Caseing the Catalogue

I am sharing another project I put together with the Avid Inkers Demonstrator Group recently.  This card was Frances’s idea and is based on a project in the 2018 Annual Catalogue on page 119. We all enjoyed making the card. Thanks Frances! Sorry about the poor photo.  I promise I’ll do better next time!!

Below is the image from the catalogue on which the project was based.  You can use the catalogue in this way when you are feeling short of mojo.  You can reproduce the projects exactly or vary things like colours, images, layout or embellishments.  I must admit that the photography is a whole lot better than mine.
