Everything Amazing Stamp Set

Hi Stampers

EverythingAmazingCard2StampinUpAnnetteMcMillan30072019

I promised last evening that I would post a pic of Vicki’s winning card from the challenge we did at the Southern Highlands Cardmaking Day and here it is. She says it won because she was using her favourite colours. What do you think?

Thanks for dropping by……………………………………………………………….till next time,

Southern Highlands Cardmaking Day

Welcome to my blog.

Yesterday I had a fun day with two fellow Avid Inkers and other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from the surrounding region. There were 16 of us in all and the day was wonderfully put together by Michele Jutrisa at St Stephen’s Church Hall in Mittagong.

It was a day for us to get together and have fun. We had Donna Williams (from Stampin’ Up! join us for the early part of the day, and lunch) and the lovely Cathy from the Church kept us well fed and lubricated. Others came from Jervis Bay, Windsor, Campbelltown and even the Hunter Valley.

I wanted to share with you the card I made as part of a challenge. We were each given A5 pieces of cardstock in Whisper White, Basic Black and 3 other colours, 1/4 piece of See a Silhouette DSP, some ribbon, and Epoxy Droplets. The challenge was to come up with a card. Below is the one I made.

I used Night of Navy, Crushed Curry and Whisper White Card and the DSP. I also used the Tailored Tag Punch which I had on hand.

I decided to make a Bridge Card and although the photo at left is not great, you can see that I lined the back panel with the DSP and stuck a couple of punched out pieces across the opening. The card will still fold flat for posting.

I was quite happy with the resulting card. We each had to place a sticker on the card we liked the best and 3 winners were selected. Sadly, mine wasn’t one of them! But I got over it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get photos of the others, but I will ask Vicki for a pic of hers, and she was one of the winners! I will post it in the next few days.

I am sure I will be posting more in coming days, so stay tuned.

That’s it for now, thanks for popping by………………………………….till next time,

Recessed Panel Card -Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper

PerennialEssenceCard4StampinUpAnnetteMcMillan23072019

This is the card I promised in my last post. I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut the row of holes in the edges of the White Card and the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to create a strip with the little scallops, which I adhered behind the “holey” panels.

The DSP is the divine Perennial Essence and the greeting is from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape.

Sadly, the card is soon destined for a dear friend whose sister-in-law passed away after a long illness. I think (and hope) the card is soothing, I was very happy with it.

All of these products are available from my online store here. If you live in Australia and don’t already have a demonstrator, I would love to be your demonstrator. Just contact me using the link at the top of this page.

thanks for stopping by……………………………….til next time,

Perennial Essence Card Class

Perennial Essence is the name Stampin’ Up has given to a collection of coordinating products which include the Floral Essence Stamp Set, the beautiful Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, the Perennial Flower Punch, Vellum in Old Olive, Petal Pink and So Saffron, Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and Perennial Essence Floral Centres.

Earlier this week I held a class using elements of this suite and my ladies loved it. Here is the stamp set:

We made four cards and I’d like to share two of them with you now. The first one I cased (pretty much copied) from Rachel Tessman at stampyourartout.com The gorgeous card had an unusual design which I loved and so did those in my class. Below is my version closed. The paper is just divine. If you look closely, you can see brush marks, just like a painting! It looks good in front of my Nandina don’t you think?

and….tadah! open! I love how the leaves are tucked in and the ribbon is knotted inside like a bit of a surprise. And that beautiful paper! Colours are Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushell and Mossy Meadow. The flower centre is a punched circle of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper which I rounded up.

The second card is one that I designed myself. I had never made a recessed panel card before but I loved how this one turned out. I have since made another which I will share with you later in the week.

The card is Petal Pink, with Old Olive strips. The greeting and flower are from the Floral Essence Stamp Set and are in Highland Heather on vellum. The vellum has been cut with a die from the Stitched Rectangle set and the greeting is also stamped on the Whisper White strip below to give it dimension.

If you like the cards I have shared today or have any queries, I would love to hear from you.

All of the products used in these cards are available in my online shop here. If you live in Australia, I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for dropping by today, come back soon………………………………til next time.
