I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring HAPPY BIRTHDAY projects. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe are participating so we have a wide array of fun projects to share with you! You may have arrived from Anastasia Radloff’s blog. She had a fabulous project!
I decided to use the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set from the new Beginner’s Brochure. As I live in Canberra, Australia, I have magnolias coming in bloom right now and they are a colour close to Rich Razzleberry, so I thought I would use that for the flowers. The other colours seemed to choose themselves.
I wanted to use the beautiful lace trim but it was lost on the vanilla card so I popped in a strip of Rich Razzleberry Card. I think it slipped up when this pic was taken. OOPs! Still, I’m happy with the card . I love the Happy Birthday stamp in the set and I’m addicted to the Labels dies. I like that they can be used to make a “pocket”.
Suppliesused:
Stamp Set: – Magnolia Blooms
Card: – Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Vellum
Ink : – Smoky Slate, Memento, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Blends.
Tools: – Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Leaf Punch

The first project I’d like to share with you today is a delightful card provided by fellow Avid Inker, Frances Searle. The card would be suitable for a new baby or a baby birthday. It could even be used for Mother’s Day.
The Wildly Happy Stamp set is a lovely line art set of mother and baby animals. Colours are Whisper White and Mint Macaron, with a hint of Gray Granite in the shading.
In the sample card, Frances also coloured the dots in the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder and the Polka Dots in the ribbon using a Mint Macaron Blend pen.
Sharon Davis provided the next project using the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder, the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set the Magnolia Memory and Stitched Labels DiesSets and the Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Whisper White ink was sponged onto the embossed petals of the magnolia. The bud was stamped, coloured, diecut and Wink of Stella’d before being tucked behind the ribbon and the label. The inside of the card was stamped too with Calypso Coral and diecut. Such a simple but beautiful card.
Roz Butterworth provided the kit for this card. To a Wild Rose is the two-step stamp set we used. The base is MelonMambo and the flower was stamped (second generation stamp) in Rococo Rose, Melon Mambo and Early Espresso, with the leaves in Granny Apple Green. The background was splattered with Rococo Rose and a few gold metallic pearls finished off this gorgeous card.
Michele Jutrisa, our gracious host for the day, provided this cute scissor charm kit for us. We used the Free as a Bird stamp Set, stamping the wooden button in Stazon Jet Black Ink. When dry, the image was coloured with Pacific Point, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede markers, then clear embossed using a heat gun. This is such a CUTE charm, I love it.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these cards and will come back soon to see some more.

As promised, I’m back to show you some of the projects we created at this event.
This stunning card kit was provided by Kim Perkins. It uses the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and Well Written Dies on Very Vanilla Card and Early Espresso ink. The bling is Gold Glimmer Paper, gold metallic pearls and “flicking” with Champagne Shimmer Paint, Wink of Stella and a hint of Early Espresso colour. It is super shimmery in real life. The envelope and innards were both decorated.
The next kit was put together by my mate Vicki Gardener. A simple but lovely card, mostly white, with a hint of Merry Merlot. Butterfly Wishes is a DIStinktive Stamp Set so that, although everything is stamped once in Gray Granite, the image has a lot of depth.
The third card I’d like to share today was provided by Meredith Hunter. This card has SO much texture and would be perfect for the men in your life.
The stamps used are: Crackle Paint, Waterfront and A Good Man.
Colours are Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.
We also used the Woodlands Embossing Folder, Darling Label Punch and Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo.
The last project I’d like to share today is a cute bridge fold card for kids provided by Michelle Lennon.
To make this delightful card we used the Dino Days Stamps, and the coordinating Dino Dies and Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. The card base is Old Olive.
I hope you liked these cards as much as I enjoyed making them.

Thanks for dropping by today……………………………………………………..till next time,
Two weeks ago I travelled with 2 members of my Stampin’ Up! downline group (Avid Inkers) to Mittagong to share a day of cardmaking with 13 other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from surrounding regions. They came from Canberra, Southern Highlands, Wollongong, South Coast, Western Sydney and even the Hunter Valley. The day was organised by Michele Jutrisa, and she did an amazing job. The theme for the day was the 2019-20 Annual Catalogue. It was held at the hall St Stephen’s Church where Michele is a parishioner.
On arrival we each received a goody bag. Michele did a lovely job of decorating them using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and the 2019-20 In-Colors, some sweet DSP and polka dot ribbon. The greeting comes from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set. Here is a closer look.
Each attendee also received a decorated water bottle. Decoration was done by yours truly, using 2019-21 In-Colors, Free as a Bird stamp set, the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder and Stitched Nesting Labels Dies. I used these dies to create a pocket shape into which I slid a name tag for each attendee.
The one below was mine. It is Rococo Rose, Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry.
The aim of the day was simply for us to get to know each other and have fun. Well , I think we achieved both. Each attendee prepared 16 kits of the same project for each of the attendees to make and brought all the supplies needed to make it in a shoebox or similar container.
Michele put together a folder containing all the Instruction Sheets. She decorated them to match the goody bags and stamped the SU Statement of the Heart on them as well. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Our goody bags also contained a new stamp set and a Mystery Bag Challenge!
I showed my card in a previous post here and the one made by my friend Vicki here.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get photos of anyone else’s or of the ladies themselves, which is a bit of a shame because they were all lovely. Donna Williams from the Stampin’ Up! Office also attended and brought a make n take for us. She was lots of fun and very generous with her time, answering any queries we had about products or current events.
Well, that’s it from me for now.
I’ll be back soon to show you the projects we made.
Thanks for popping by…………………………………………………………..till next time,
Netty xx
