Welcome back. I wanted to share cards from my Team Meeting last month. For our swap cards, the theme was Spring.
This is Vicki’s card. I just love the colours and the embossing folder is gorgeous. Just like seawater, don’t you think?
She used:
Whale Done Stamp Set
Seabed 3D embossing folder
Card – Magenta Madness, Whisper White
Inks – Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, Pretty Peacock and (I think) Coastal Cabana
Silver Ribbon (retired)
Anne’s card. I love the way she has used the texture stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set. And I also love the colours and the way she has nested the Die cutout.
She used:
Pleasant Poppies stamp set
Stitched Nested Labels Dies
Card – Old Olive and Whisper White.
Inks – Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Memento Black
Karen’s card. I love this stamp set. You can make amazing 3D cards with it using the coordinating die set, or you can go a little simpler. Karen has gone a bit in the middle. I love the way she has coloured the scene.
She used:
Grace’s Garden stamp set and Timeless Tulips for the greeting
Classic Label punch
Card – Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Magenta Madness
Ink – Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green and Blackberry Bliss
Linen thread
This is my card. I love the colour combination. I think it looks clean and fresh.
I used:
Inspiring Iris stamp set
Card – Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo.
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and Memento Black
Tools – Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder and Stitched Shapes Dies
a Rhinestone
We also completed a Fancy Fold card under Vicki’s direction, according to instructions from Michelle Bryant (UK Demonstrator).
I love this card and everything in the Whale Done Suite, especially the luscious colours in the DSP. So cute! This Bridge fold card was such a lot of fun to make and not as tricky as you might think.
We used:
Whale Done stamp set
Thick Whisper White card
Whale of a Time DSP
Tools – Whale Done punch, Layering Ovals Dies
Ink– Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock, Granny Apple Green.

Just a quick reminder that it is less than 5 hours until this event kicks off. The list above shows the presenters and the schedule in local in local times. See previous post for world times and other details. You can watch recording after the events if the live times don’t suit you.
The times for each presentation are shown for each location. So Australia kicks off with Tracy Held at 4.30 pm AEST, followed by me at 5.15pm AEST. You can continue watching and crafting into the wee hours or come back and watch the presentations in the group later on. See previous post for more details.
I am excited to be presenting again in this Facebook Live International Craft-Along event.
Save the Date. On Saturday evening, 29 August 2020, we are featuring projects using Stampin’ Up! products from the current Catalogues. We have 16 presenters this month, each using a different product for their presentation.
You can watch live starting Saturday evening in Australia and travel the globe as Saturday evening reaches the UK, USA and Canada. You can craft along with the presenters, adapting the projects so you can use what you have in your stash. Alternatively, you can watch replays after the event. During the next week each of the presenters will do a short presentation listing what items they will be using, including measurements in both metric and imperial.
For my presentation, I will be using the Friendly Silhouette Stamp Set. It is shown below along with the Coordinating Dies Set. If you click on the image you will be taken to my online store where you can purchase the set.
149327 – Friend Like You Photopolymer Stamp Set – $37
149546 – Friendly Silhouettes Dies – $56
This event is open to customers of the presenters. If you would like to participate, contact me and I will arrange for you to receive an invitation to join the group. If you need to be my customer first, place an order, then contact me. You’ll be glad you did!

Alternatively, you can purchase the pdf for $22. Either way, its a bargain, complete with detailed instructions and colour photos .
OR, ask me for a host code and order together with friends before 6 September and I will join you for a virtual party complete with make ‘n takes.
I’ll be back before the event to list world times for each presentation.
Welcome to this month’s Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring Suites in the Annual and the Holiday Catalogues. I am excited to share another project with you today. Fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe are participating, so we have lots of fun projects to share with you. I hope you get loads of creative inspiration from them. You may have started here, or arrived from the talented Maureen Rauchfuss’s blog. Wasn’t her project amazing? Either way, you’re in the right place!
I chose to create a project using the In Good Taste Suite. The suite consists of the Tasteful Touches stamp set, the Tasteful Labels dies set (available as the Tasteful Touches bundle, at a 10% discount), the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, the Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder and the In Good Taste Elements.
As you would guess from the names, it is a very tasteful suite. Actually, it is delicate enough to allow feminine projects but versatile enough to suite the most rugged gent. The DSP is full of texture, with very earthy tones. The stamp set contains some lovely greetings in a beautiful script, two of which are specifically designed to fit into two of the ten gorgeous label dies, a luscious flower (easily fussy cut), a delicate sprig, a feather, and a number of texture stamps. The elements are made of wood and include leaves, sprigs and small textural shapes.
When playing with the elements that went into this card, I was struggling to use DSP AND the gorgeous embossing folder. Then I realised that I could accomplish this by using the “DSP Quadrangle Cut”. Not sure about this name. Anyway, I quite liked the layout, but couldn’t decide which label and greeting to use so I consulted the brains trust (Hi Vicki and Antoinette!). They had differing opinions, so I used both. Which do you like the best?
Click below and you will be taken to Shirley Merker’s blog. I’m sure she will have an amazing project to share.
Here is a list of hoppers in case you get off the trail:
