Welcome back Stampin’ friends. It’s been a miserable day in Canberra today, rained all day, so I have been doing a little stamping.
I wanted to share the above card with you, which I made last week. I made it for a mystery challenge for a facebook group I belong to and I also needed a thank-you card for a couple who have given me a lot of help.
The challenge specified the size of the strips of DSP, the card base and the layer and a neutral colour for the greeting and a diecut for the greeting backing. I got the colours from the DSP. (I recently heard someone say “let the DSP do the work”, and that is so true, the colours always work well together!) I meant to put the Brick texture on the DSP only, but I forgot until I had stuck it down on the layer, however I quite like the way it looks. What do you think?

Stamps:- Dragonfly Garden (sneak peek- it will be in the next mini catalogue)

If you follow my blog, you know that I am one of the presenters in a Global Facebook Live event every month or so, the Global SU Share Fair. This month, one of the presenters from the US, Katie Johnson, presented a tutorial on how to create this gift card holder. These are so useful to have on hand, particularly around Christmas time, so I decided to make one myself.
These are the supplies I used:
Stamps:- Gift Wrapped
Card: –Whisper White (thick and thin), Basic Black, Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper
Ink:- Memento Black, Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, Wink of Stella
