Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is to design a masculine birthday card which was created by Tracy Held.

My card is shown below. I thought some of the new products this year would combine to create a perfect, simple Masculine Birthday Card

Card: – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Woven Textures DSP (Online Exclusive)

Tools: –  Mini 3D Corrugated Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive)

I hope you are inspired by my card. I’d love to know what you think. Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.

Thanks for hopping by, Bye for now

Till next time

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop – June 2025 – Bling It Up

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a Bling It Up Challenge which was created by Michele Jutrisa and is shown below:

This theme immediately made me think of gold. The Natures Sweetness DSP jumped into my mind and I decided that Pecan Pie would be a good colour for the cardbase. This paper is so luscious that I didn’t want much more than a few die cuts. I happened upon this card design, known as the Pop Up Pillar Design by Lyn Dunn. I converted her tutorial to metric measurements which are shown below. You can see her imperial measurements/ tutorial here.

Metric Measurements are below the supply list. pics below show the card flat, open top view and close up of focal point.

Stamps: – Textured Notes, Simply Said, Thankful Garden (Online Exclusive)

Inks: – Versamark, Pecan Pie

Card: – Pecan Pie, Basic Black, Gold Foil Sheets, Basic White, Very Vanilla, Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper

Tools: –  Textured Notes dies (Online Exclusive), Gallery Blooms Dies

Embellishments: WOW Metallics Embossing Powder (gold), Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems (Gold), Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack (Black)

Metric Measurements

  • 20 X 14.9 cm Pecan Pie cardbase  scored at 1.5, 5, 6.5 and 10 cm along long side
  • 7.5 X 11 cm Pecan Pie panel
  • 8.5 x 14.4 cm text DSP panel
  • 6.5 x 10 DSP text DSP panel
  • 2 ( 3 X 14.4 cm) gold DSP

Burnish each scoreline as a mountain fold.

Adhere Gold DSP to both 3.5cm wide panels, then tuck under 1.5 cm end panel and adhere it to cardbase, jutted up to 10 cm scoreline, forming a rectangle, and making sure that it will fold down flush with card base.

Use Textured Notes die to cut Pecan Pie panel to 7 x 10.5 cm and adhere 6.5 x 10 cm DSP this panel.

Adhere panel to top edge of rectangular tower.

Decorate as desired.

I hope you are inspired by my card. I’d love to know what you think. Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.

Thanks for hopping by, Bye for now

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop – January 2025 – Love Is In The Air

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is an event challenge all about love, which was created by Tracy Held and is shown below:

I don’t particularly celebrate Valentine’s Day, so I struggled to come up with an idea for this hop. I decided on the colours first. I’m a big fan of red, black and white or vanilla, so that made it easy, and fitted with a Valentine theme. I just needed hearts and appropriate greetings and images. I decided on the Labeled With Love Bundle, then added the die cut hearts using the Wanted to Say Dies and the inside greeting from the Layers Of Beauty stamp set. I was happy with the outcome. Would love to know what you think.

Stamps: – Labeled With Love*, Layers of Beauty

Inks: – Poppy Parade, Memento Tuxedo Black

Card: – Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Very Vanilla

Tools: –  Labeled With Love Dies*, Wanted to Say Dies, Dashing Designs 3D

Embossing Folder

Embellishments: – Bakers Twine Essentials Pack (Black), Red and White Baker’s Twine

  • Available as a bundle, with 10% discount during the life of the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue

I hope you are inspired by my card. Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.
