I wanted to use the Darling Donkeys Stamp Set. I also wanted to use the new Blending Brushes. I decided to use sunset type colours and convert the images to silhouettes by colouring them in black. The fact that one donkey had a rose gave me the idea of Valentines Day, so I hand drew the hearts and the ground and grass. Then I went looking for a suitable greeting. I found It in the Geared Up Garage Set. In Australia, many people don’t celebrate Valentines Day and, if they do, its only by couples. My hubbie and I don’t do mushy Valentines but we do mark the occasion, so I felt that this card was perfect. What do you think?

Welcome to this month’s Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring punches in the 2020 Annual and the Holiday Catalogues. I am excited to share another project with you today. Fellow Stampin’ Up! You may have started here, or arrived from the talented Maureen Rauchfuss’s blog. Wasn’t her project amazing? Either way, you’re in the right place!
I wasn’t sure how to approach this hop. But I thought about up and coming events and I realised that I needed a gift for my lovely hubbie for our anniversary, not of our wedding, but of our first date. I thought he needed a gift- so I decided on a gift box and I was inspired by Heidi at Flutterby – I haven’t decided what the gift will be, but I have the dimensions! One of my fav gifts for him is smoked salmon – simple, but a luxury that he loves. Now, to find some that will fit into this box!
How does this relate to punches you ask? The answer lies in the flap on the lid. I used the Fancy Label Tag Topper punch to create that flap. The punch made it so easy and looks attractive while being functional too.
Thanks for joining us this month. Now click below and you will be taken to Shirley Merker’s blog. I’m sure she will have an amazing project to share.

Welcome to this month’s Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring Suites in the Annual and the Holiday Catalogues. I am excited to share another project with you today. Fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe are participating, so we have lots of fun projects to share with you. I hope you get loads of creative inspiration from them. You may have started here, or arrived from the talented Maureen Rauchfuss’s blog. Wasn’t her project amazing? Either way, you’re in the right place!
I chose to create a project using the In Good Taste Suite. The suite consists of the Tasteful Touches stamp set, the Tasteful Labels dies set (available as the Tasteful Touches bundle, at a 10% discount), the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, the Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder and the In Good Taste Elements.
As you would guess from the names, it is a very tasteful suite. Actually, it is delicate enough to allow feminine projects but versatile enough to suite the most rugged gent. The DSP is full of texture, with very earthy tones. The stamp set contains some lovely greetings in a beautiful script, two of which are specifically designed to fit into two of the ten gorgeous label dies, a luscious flower (easily fussy cut), a delicate sprig, a feather, and a number of texture stamps. The elements are made of wood and include leaves, sprigs and small textural shapes.
When playing with the elements that went into this card, I was struggling to use DSP AND the gorgeous embossing folder. Then I realised that I could accomplish this by using the “DSP Quadrangle Cut”. Not sure about this name. Anyway, I quite liked the layout, but couldn’t decide which label and greeting to use so I consulted the brains trust (Hi Vicki and Antoinette!). They had differing opinions, so I used both. Which do you like the best?

Welcome to this month’s Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring the theme Designer Series Paper.
I have yet to purchase a great deal of DSP from this year’s offering, so the choice was easy. Either Artistry Blooms or World of Good (used that for last month’s hop). I recently saw a One Sheet Wonder Based on a 6″ square piece of DSP producing 4 cards. I found it on an Australian Demonstrator’s facebook page. I haven’t been able to find out whose idea it was originally, but I think it’s a great one, and it suited my paper because it is very bright and I think the large white space balances out the bright colour. Just after I made these cards, our fellow hopper, Sandra Roberts shared some beautiful Christmas cards she had made using this technique and did a video on Youtube here. I think this layout needs a name! Any ideas?
The secret to making these cards is the template shown below. You simply take your 6″ X 6″ piece of DSP, mark 1.5″ in from each corner. Cut from top left mark to bottom right mark. Rotate and repeat. It is optional to add another layer between the DSP and the card base. Also, you either have the wider side at the top as I have or rotate 180 deg as Sandra has.
I have listed all supplies below. I hope my cards inspire you. Please add a comment and let me know what you liked about them before clicking the next image to hop to Shirley Merker’s blog in the United States to see what fun ideas she has to share.
Thanks for hopping with us.
