Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.
Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a Bling It Up Challenge which was created by Michele Jutrisa and is shown below:

This theme immediately made me think of gold. The Natures Sweetness DSP jumped into my mind and I decided that Pecan Pie would be a good colour for the cardbase. This paper is so luscious that I didn’t want much more than a few die cuts. I happened upon this card design, known as the Pop Up Pillar Design by Lyn Dunn. I converted her tutorial to metric measurements which are shown below. You can see her imperial measurements/ tutorial here.
Metric Measurements are below the supply list. pics below show the card flat, open top view and close up of focal point.

Embellishments: WOW Metallics Embossing Powder (gold), Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems (Gold), Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack (Black)
Metric Measurements
- 20 X 14.9 cm Pecan Pie cardbase scored at 1.5, 5, 6.5 and 10 cm along long side
- 7.5 X 11 cm Pecan Pie panel
- 8.5 x 14.4 cm text DSP panel
- 6.5 x 10 DSP text DSP panel
- 2 ( 3 X 14.4 cm) gold DSP
Burnish each scoreline as a mountain fold.
Adhere Gold DSP to both 3.5cm wide panels, then tuck under 1.5 cm end panel and adhere it to cardbase, jutted up to 10 cm scoreline, forming a rectangle, and making sure that it will fold down flush with card base.
Use Textured Notes die to cut Pecan Pie panel to 7 x 10.5 cm and adhere 6.5 x 10 cm DSP this panel.
Adhere panel to top edge of rectangular tower.
Decorate as desired.
I hope you are inspired by my card. I’d love to know what you think. Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.
