Card Swap Chain Blog Hop – Nancy

CardSwapChainHeader

Welcome to the 4th round of the second series of Card Chain Swaps. At the beginning of April, Tracy Held started a fun journey with 9 other Australian demonstrators. We called it a “Card Swap Chain”. Each of us designed a card and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything) the card and sent their version on to the next person (Round 1). The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. We are going to have a blog hop for each of the card swap chains to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

The fourth chain to be featured was created by Nancy. You can see it below. The card on the right was sent to me by Cheryl.

Here is my take on the card I received from Cheryl. My card is number 6 in the chain. The hop should be in the order the cards evolved so that you can watch the changes. Quite fascinating!

I hope you are inspired by my card. I’d love to know what you think. Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.

Thanks for hopping by, Till next time

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop – Case The Catalogue Challenge

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a challenge to CASE the Catalogue, which was created by Julia Quinn and is shown below. It goes live for customers TODAY, however, demonstrators are able to preorder products in August (just one of our perks!).

SU_MiniCatty_I2024-222mage

I wanted to use my new Stampin Santa Stamp Set because Christmas is beach time in Australia. I chose to CASE the scrapbook page shown on page 55 of the catalogue:

2024_SD_P55

….And this is what I came up with:

SurfingSanta2StampinUpAnnetteMcMillan12082024

I love the way the white pearlised Enamel Effects turned out on his beard and pom pom.

Stamps: –Surfing Santa, Beach Day (seagulls), Peaceful Season (greetings)

Inks: –Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Crushed Curry, Pool Party and Basic Beige inkpads; Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Petal Pink Blends

Card: – Poppy Parade, Basic White, Pool Party

Tools: –  Something Fancy Dies, Blending Brushes, Masking Paper

Embellishments: – Pearlised Enamel Effects (red on the greeting diecut and white on Santa’s facial hair and pom pom).

I hope you are inspired by my card. I really had fun making it and I’d love to know what you think. Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.
