Thank You Cards – Death of A Special Friend

A very dear friend recently passed away after a brave battle with cancer.  She was a treasured member of my cardmaking group of friends and we offered to make thank-you cards for her family.  These are the cards we made.  They were a combined effort by a number of ladies and I think they are very pretty.  I hope her family like them. I’m sure Phillipa would have.  She loved pretty things and was very fond of butterflies.ThanksamillionCard3StampinUpAnnetteMcMillan08072018The above card used an old Stampin’ Up! Stamp set.  We sponged Blushing Bride on the card and silver embossed the butterfly and the greeting.  Isn’t it a beautiful greeting?  We made another version using Mint Macaroon.ThanksCardStampinUpAnnetteMcMillan08072018The above card uses the new stamp set Painted Glass.  Phillipa’s favourite colour was Turquoise, so I think she would have liked this one too.

I created this lovely soft card with my Avid Inker friends a couple of weeks ago.  We all made it with our own little variations.

The stamp set is a new one from the just-released Catalogue. The sequins are the recently retired self adhesive ones from the Occasions Catalogue.
