Well, I’m a little late in posting some of the cards I have made using the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper. In fact, I’m a little late posting altogether. Bad blogger! I made a selection of cards using a method of cutting Designer Paper I came across online. I had to adjust it to our metric cardstock size, but I was pretty happy with the results and the cards came together very quickly, which is always good for Christmas cards. I hope you like them. I’d love to get comments on these cards.
I am planning on putting together a tutorial with metric measurements for the “card Maps”. If you follow my blog in the next week, I will make this available to you as a way of saying thank you. You can follow my blog by clicking on the symbol to the far right of the bottom footer menu on this page.
And if you’d like to get your hands on some of this designer paper, it is only available for a few more hours. It is free to hosts who host a Stampin’ Up! party with sales over $450.
The first card uses 1 piece of the paper, cut and flipped. I added some Garden Green ribbon I purchased from the clearance rack last week and used my new stamp set “Feathers and Frost” for the greeting and flower. I added a few pearls and ALL DONE!!
The second card uses just one piece of the paper, matted on a piece of White Card Stock. I added a little Garden Green ribbon. The greetings are again from the Feathers and Frost stamp set (I used the JOY stamp on almost all of these cards). I also used the Layering Oval framelits and coloured a couple of Rhinestones with my dark Cherry Cobbler Blendie.
Card 3 was made using 1 piece of Paper which had a strip cut and flipped. Again, ribbon, greetings from Feathers and Frost, this time the “to the world” as gold embossed on vellum. The holly is from a retired hostess stamp set, which seemed just right for this card. What do you think?
I made Card 4 with one piece of paper. Again, a strip of it was trimmed off and flipped and mounted onto a panel of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. Garden Green ribbon was combined with gold trim to reflect the gold embossed greeting, which was done with an old retired stamp set and matching punch, and a little circle mat of Gold Foil.
Card 5 is made with three strips of paper. The greetings and Holly sprigs are from the Feathers & Frost stamp set.
Card 6 is the final one. It was made using 5 strips of paper. I added a greeting from another retired stamp set which I stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Gold embossing. This was done using the Stamparatus to slightly offset the stamping. I think this gave it an interesting look. I used the Layering Circle framelits and added a little gold bow.
So you have a few hours to get your free Dashing Along Designer Series Paper. I will be back soon to show you some more cards using the Feathers and Frost Stamp Set which is in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.
More DSP I will have to add to my wishlist
