Welcome to this month’s Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring the theme Animal Images with a Punch. I am excited to share another project with you today. Fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe are participating, so we have lots of fun projects to share with you. I hope you get loads of creative inspiration from them. You may have started here, or arrived from the talented Mickey Moore’s blog. Wasn’t her project amazing? Either way, you’re in the right place!
When contemplating what I would create for this event, I couldn’t get the idea of punch art from my mind, so I settled on the idea of creating something popular at the moment with children. I thought it would be nice to have an Australian theme so I decided on Bluey, the Australian Blue Cattle Dog cartoon character from the show with the same name. If you are not familiar with it, you should look it up, it is an international hit with young kids. Below is the card I came up with.
By a quirk of fate, my daughter surprised me with her new Blue Heeler puppy, Willow, a few days later. Pic also below.

I decided to do up a chart showing the way I created Bluey.

And…here’s Willow!

SUPPLIES:
- Stamps: – On the Horizon
- Inks: – Memento Black, Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Basic Black Marker
- Card: – Balmy Blue, Basic White, Basic Black, Bumble Bee, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce
- Tools: – Papersnips, Aquapen, various punches (see chart below)
- Embellishments: Brushed Brass Butterflies
I hope you are inspired by my project. I’d love to know what you think. Thanks for joining our blog hop. Click on the link below and you will be taken to Maureen Rauchfuss’s blog. I’m sure she will have something wonderful to share.

Wow! Love your punch art! I haven’t heard of Bluey but will google. Thanks for sharing!
How fun! My granddaughters love watching Bluey (on Disney + here in the USA). Thanks for the punch chart!
Thanks for sharing Bluey…it’s so impressive how you put him together! Both dogs are super-cute!
WOW Annette! This is a fabulous punch art! I’ll be sure to look up the program since I don’t know it but love dogs!
Thanks Shirley, yep Bluey is big.
That is super cute! My granddaughter, Willow, loves Bluey! This would be a great project for her and I to do together! Thank you for sharing! Oh, and your Willow is precious! I just want to give her snuggles!
She likes a snuggle, but has very sharp teeth! Glad you like it Mickey.
Your Bluey is awesome. You are so clever to have figured him out with punches!
Thanks Tracy, It was easier than I expected
WOW – what a perfect Bluey!!! This is just BRILLIANT!! I love all the details and attention to all the little pieces of him!! It’s all so perfect!! Love it.
Thanks Julia, you are so kind
Wow – great use of the animal them – that looks like it was a lot of work!
It was, but so funny that, unknown to me, my daughter was getting a “blue”, so must have been some knowledge on a weird level.
WOW, what a cute paper-pieced puppy!
Thanks Sue, the real model is cute but growing into a handfull. Being trained though and is SO receptive. My only grandchild! Have to be proud!
