Lets Craft Together Blog Hop – November 2023 – Sketch Challenge

Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a Sketch Challenge which was created by me and is shown below. I am really excited to have joined this talented group. I know you will be inspired by our hops.

Swap Card 1- First Frost Christmas

The card I am sharing today is a swap card I created for Stampin’ Up! 2019 Onstage Live in Auckland 10 – 13 April. That’s where I am at the moment and I’m sure I’m having fun. Swap cards, or card ‘fronts’, are created in bulk by Demonstrators who swap them at Demonstrator gatherings like Onstage. This allows us to get samples using stamp sets we don’t own and lots of new ideas. We list our name, contact details and project recipes on the back. Its a lot of fun and a great way to meet others who have come from far flung parts of the globe.

Onstage is definitely one of the perks of being a demonstrator. We get sneak peeks and giveaways of new products, food, demonstrations, make n takes and advance copies of new catalogues.

Now, about the card! I made it with the beautiful First Frost stamp set and the matching Frosted Bouquet Framelit Dies. Colours are, Real Red and Shaded Spruce (which appears brown in this pic for some strange reason). Texture was added to the shimmer card with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder.

The labels and berries were cut using the Frosted Bouquet Dies and the leaves using the sprig punch. A couple of clear rhinestones and this pretty but simple card is complete.

The stamp set and Dies and the Sprig punch and Embossing folder are all items that were available in the 2018-19 Holiday Catalogue but have been carried over.

Every product I have used is available now from my online store. Click on Shopping in the Header Menu Bar, then My Online SU Shop and you will be directed straight to my shop.

Thanks for dropping by this afternoon. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
