My sister-in-law turned 50 last week and I thought the occasion deserved a big 5 and a big 0. So I created the card below. She was impressed by the card and said it survived the post unscathed.
Colours are Real Red and Basic Black. I gold embossed the greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set and Black embossed the sign on the door. I used the retired Woodgrain stamp and cut the numbers from Gold Foil using the retired Large Number Framelit Dies.
And when the door is slid open……..

In my April card class we will be making fun cards with fancy folds. This one is a Secret Message Panel Card.
I used the fantastic Happy Birthday thinlit die and some retired designer paper, Melon Mambo , Crushed Curry and Basic Black cardstock to make this gatefold card.
When you open the card this is what you see:
Then you *peel* open the centre fold to show…..tadah!! Another view which reveals the hidden messages.
Dont you think this is so cool? And what’s more, it is not difficult to make.I used what has become one of my favourite greeting sets, Happy Birthday Gorgeous and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I think this card would suit anyone, young or young-at-heart. What do you think?
