Oct 30, 2018 | Barn Door Bundle, Birthday Cards, Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set |
My sister-in-law turned 50 last week and I thought the occasion deserved a big 5 and a big 0. So I created the card below. She was impressed by the card and said it survived the post unscathed.
Colours are Real Red and Basic Black. I gold embossed the greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set and Black embossed the sign on the door. I used the retired Woodgrain stamp and cut the numbers from Gold Foil using the retired Large Number Framelit Dies.

And when the door is slid open……..

When the door is slid open….. Colours are: Melon Mambo, Smokey Slate and Basic Black.

The last card from my class used a retired stamp set from a SaleABration promotion called Hey Chick. Colours are Real Red, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand and Basic Black. She was coloured using our Watercolour Pencils.

and when the door is slid open ….

Everyone enjoyed making these cards and the interactive element means they are fun to receive.
That’s it from me till next time. My next class will be on 6 November and we will be making a selection of cards using the Waterfront stamp set.

Oct 17, 2018 | Barn Door Bundle

I have been on a little trip with my husband to Victoria. This photo shows the beautiful 12 apostles on the Great Ocean Road. There are no longer 12 of them, if there ever was, but they are stunning as is much of the scenery in this part of the world. We’ve been up in the mountains as well. I will share some more pics with you later but we just saw this today.
I would also like to share another Barn Door card we made at my class last week.

I love the colours in this card:
Mango Melody, Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay. The stamp set is sadly retired now but is called Bird Banter. Below is what you see when you slide the door open. Isn’t it SO cute!

Oct 10, 2018 | Barn Door Bundle, Christmas |
Earlier this week I held a class making cards using the Barn Door Bundle. These interactive cards are great for a special occasion or a special person.

The card above is a simple swinging door card and uses the greeting stamps in the set. I got this idea from Julie Davison.

Isn’t that a lovely message to send for Christmas?
The Colours are Real Red, Shaded Spruce (a colour added to the Regal collection in the recent Colour Renovation and a perfect one for Christmas) , Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black. Memento Black ink was used for stamping and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a retired one.

These are the stamps and Framelits in the Barn Door Bundle and they can be purchased in my online store. Just click on Shopping in the pull down header menu above.
I will post some more cards from the class later in the week. My friends really enjoyed the class and loved the cards. My class next month features the Waterfront Stamp Set.
Bye for Now, Netty xx
