Karen led a project to create these amazing cards. These are all of our creations. Above shows them closed and below shows them open. Aren’t they incredible? Will be so hard to give them away.
Many of the supplies we used have now retired, so are no longer available, but the Timeless Tulips stamp set and coordinating Tulip punch are still available. See link for my online shop below.

We had a card swap based on the patterned cardstock we created at the previous month’s meet using the shaving cream technique. We used Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks.
I think we did a great job designing all of these cards. Frances used the Simply Succulents Stamp Set. Karen used the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder and the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, the Birthday Chick Dies and the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Anne used the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and the Double Oval punch. Vicki used the Stitched Rectangle Dies. All of these products are available in the current Annual Catalogue.
I hope you are inspired by our cards. I’d love to know what you think. We had so much fun making them. If you would like to be part of my team and join us for these meets, click on the link below.
That’s it for now, thanks for popping by, til next time,

At the end of June, members of the Avid Inkers Team met after a long break. It happened to be one of the member’s 50th birthday. She said she couldn’t think of a nicer way to celebrate her special day. That’s a lot to live up to but we had serious fun, including a rainbow birthday cake. It’s great that my team is also part of a bigger team which meets periodically.
We made two mystery projects, both fun fold cards, which were led by Vicki and Karen.
Vicki led the the project to create a Trifold Spanner Panel card. These are the landscape shaped cards. Karen led a projects to create a Pop Out Swing Card, which are portrait shaped. The pic above shows everyone’s cards. We had so much fun making them and they were all gorgeous (and FLORAL!)
This pic shows my version of Vicki’s Trifold Spanner Panel Card.
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: –Hand Penned (Front of Card Image) Art Gallery (greeting on second layer), Celebrate with Flowers (greeting on bottom layer)
This pic shows my take on Karen’s Pop Out Swing Card. Notice that it has a panel stuck to the inside of the card front, which makes it operate much more smoothly than the traditional design of this card fold.
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: – Art Gallery, (front image ), Enjoy the Moment, (front greeting), Celebrate with Flowers (dragonflies and inside greeting- worked so well being vertical),
Inks: – Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Bumble Bee
Card: – Merry Merlot, Whisper White, Beauty of the Earth DSP

I have really fallen behind with my posts but wanted to share the great cards we all made at our Team meet in June. This was a one of the projects I led which we all made. The faux ripped paper technique. I’ve always loved this technique and I cased this card straight from the current Annual Catalogue. I used the Enjoy the Moment Stamp Set, which is great for techniques, Misty Moonlight card and ink, Mint Macaroon, Crumb Cake and Memento Black inks.
My swap – I couldn’t resist the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle. It just makes me chuckle every time I see a card made with it.

Karen used a bleaching technique and the Fancy Phrases Stamp Set to create her swap card.
Vicki used the new Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set and cased the catalogue, switching out the colour for one of the new In Colors, Soft Succulent. Love the white-embossed vellum.
Anne used A Good Man Stamp Set, with lovely colouring and layering.
I led another project using an old technique with shaving cream and reinkers to create our own patterned card. We used the results to create swaps for our next meet in July.

Welcome back. I wanted to share cards from my Team Meeting last month. For our swap cards, the theme was Spring.
This is Vicki’s card. I just love the colours and the embossing folder is gorgeous. Just like seawater, don’t you think?
She used:
Whale Done Stamp Set
Seabed 3D embossing folder
Card – Magenta Madness, Whisper White
Inks – Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, Pretty Peacock and (I think) Coastal Cabana
Silver Ribbon (retired)
Anne’s card. I love the way she has used the texture stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set. And I also love the colours and the way she has nested the Die cutout.
She used:
Pleasant Poppies stamp set
Stitched Nested Labels Dies
Card – Old Olive and Whisper White.
Inks – Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Memento Black
Karen’s card. I love this stamp set. You can make amazing 3D cards with it using the coordinating die set, or you can go a little simpler. Karen has gone a bit in the middle. I love the way she has coloured the scene.
She used:
Grace’s Garden stamp set and Timeless Tulips for the greeting
Classic Label punch
Card – Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Magenta Madness
Ink – Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green and Blackberry Bliss
Linen thread
This is my card. I love the colour combination. I think it looks clean and fresh.
I used:
Inspiring Iris stamp set
Card – Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo.
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and Memento Black
Tools – Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder and Stitched Shapes Dies
a Rhinestone
We also completed a Fancy Fold card under Vicki’s direction, according to instructions from Michelle Bryant (UK Demonstrator).
I love this card and everything in the Whale Done Suite, especially the luscious colours in the DSP. So cute! This Bridge fold card was such a lot of fun to make and not as tricky as you might think.
We used:
Whale Done stamp set
Thick Whisper White card
Whale of a Time DSP
Tools – Whale Done punch, Layering Ovals Dies
Ink– Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock, Granny Apple Green.
