Hello and welcome to my blog. I have often thought about creating a blog. I recently took up the challenge of taking a course which showed me how to do it. I am still quite scared of the technology!
My blog will be a place to share my papercraft creations. I mostly use Stampin’ Up! products. They are so easy to use as everything coordinates and they are top quality. That’s why I joined as an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in 2006, the first year they came to Australia. I create, mostly cards for family and friends and I hold classes in my home in Canberra. I also do “at home parties” where a hostess invites friends to her home and I show them how to make cards and other papercraft projects and they all get to make one themselves. It’s lots of fun.
I would like to share a card I recently made for a friend who celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary. The card is a style called Easy Desktop Stand Up card which I made using a tutorial from Lyssa Zwolanek you can see here. It folds flat for postage. I used a stamp set called Number of Years. I used gold powder to heat emboss the numbers on black card to get this dramatic effect. Fortunately, I also bought the matching dies to cut the Numbers, so I didn’t have to get the scissors out. The Designer Paper (patterned paper) is no longer available but was perfect for this card.
Thanks for visiting my blog, please come back soon.
